New Year, New Projects

We have entered a new year and I suppose you may have plans for re-organizing your sewing space, or you may have plans for a new project, or how about some stash busting? Any planned retreats in your future? I have been thinking about this new year and what it will bring into my schedule. Over Christmas we re-organized the store and now it is more spacious and easier to work in. We hope you like our new look. My quilting studio is a disaster...so there is re-organization needed there. My personal stash has been sitting unattended since last June while we were busy planning the store for the September opening. Lonely stash! I think there may be a family wedding so I am planning a beautiful neutral wedding quilt. As a matter of fact, I cut the fabric requirements for this quilt yesterday, and made 2 other kits for the store, as I'm sure others will be looking for a wedding quilt. What are your quilting plans for 2015? Come into the shop soon and be inspired! Happy quilting,

Holiday Hours

Happy Christmas to everyone! We know that you have many choices when it comes to purchasing supplies for your quiltmaking and we thank you for your patronage since our opening in September. We value your friendship, and your business. Jim and I have thoroughly enjoyed bringing the shop into existence and all that is entailed in running a small business. We are going to be closing the shop December 24 through January 1st. We reopen January 2nd. Classes begin January 3rd so please check the website for our newsletter which outlines classes and BOM programs. Be safe this Christmas Season.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's hard to quilt on a weekend when most of you will be cooking a feast, or attending one. It is the time of year when we are thankful for all the wonderful things that have been given to us over the year. We are spending some time with some of our kids and grandkids and since it is pretty well a once a year occurrence, we will enjoy every minute. The shop will be closed Sunday and Monday, and will reopen Tuesday morning. We are working hard on getting the newsletter out with our listing of classes for November through March. Stay tuned as it will be posted on FB and on the website.  In store, recent shipments include Rue Indienne by French General, Paisley Park by Kansas Troubles, and Collection for a Cause Community by Howard Marcus for Moda. Enjoy your weekend no matter where you are celebrating, and hope to see you soon.

Have a very quilty day,

Deborah

Fall...My Favorite Time of Year

I love fall.  To celebrate my favorite time of year, let's have a sale! 25% off all batiks on the bolt. This sale will run for the entire month of October. I am not a fan of the heat. Cool days, lovely colours in the trees, warm fires in the evening, long walks with leaves rustling under foot - that's my kind of weather...and the perfect weather for designing and making a new quilt! We have some beautiful fall fabrics in the store. Come take a look.  We also have many new lines arriving in the next few days, so stay tuned...and dream up your next beautiful project.

Have a very quilty day,
Deborah
