We value your friendship, and your business. Jim and I have thoroughly enjoyed bringing the shop into existence and all that is entailed in running a small business. We are going to be closing the shop December 24 through January 1st. We reopen January 2nd. Classes begin January 3rd so please check the website for our newsletter which outlines classes and BOM programs. Be safe this Christmas Season.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's hard to quilt on a weekend when most of you will be cooking a feast, or attending one. It is the time of year when we are thankful for all the wonderful things that have been given to us over the year. We are spending some time with some of our kids and grandkids and since it is pretty well a once a year occurrence, we will enjoy every minute. The shop will be closed Sunday and Monday, and will reopen Tuesday morning. We are working hard on getting the newsletter out with our listing of classes for November through March. Stay tuned as it will be posted on FB and on the website.  In store, recent shipments include Rue Indienne by French General, Paisley Park by Kansas Troubles, and Collection for a Cause Community by Howard Marcus for Moda. Enjoy your weekend no matter where you are celebrating, and hope to see you soon.

Have a very quilty day,

Deborah

Fall...My Favorite Time of Year

I love fall.  To celebrate my favorite time of year, let's have a sale! 25% off all batiks on the bolt. This sale will run for the entire month of October. I am not a fan of the heat. Cool days, lovely colours in the trees, warm fires in the evening, long walks with leaves rustling under foot - that's my kind of weather...and the perfect weather for designing and making a new quilt! We have some beautiful fall fabrics in the store. Come take a look.  We also have many new lines arriving in the next few days, so stay tuned...and dream up your next beautiful project.

Have a very quilty day,
Deborah

Christmas? What?

Oh Christmas Tree...

We quilters need plenty of lead time for our Christmas projects. We have just finished this sample by Sew Little Time for the shop and kits will be made up. It is really Christmassy, don't you think. Is that a word?  Lots of new things arriving almost daily in the shop. We have had a great response from the quilting community and for that we are thankful. See you soon!

On Your Mark...

Ready or not, we will open this Saturday, September 6th at 10 am.  All batting will be 20% off. Come see what we have created, and enjoy some goodies and refreshments as you browse the store! We hope it is a lovely day to further enjoy what downtown Burlington has to offer.

Parking downtown is free on Saturdays and Sundays. Please check our website for detailed information on parking.  Hope to see you here this Saturday.
Until then,
Deborah.

Border Creek Station Mystery

We are a participating shop in this year's Border Creek Station Mystery Quilt - Quilter's Retreat. These fabrics are so pretty.  We will have a sign up sheet in the store and due to this year's popularity of the mystery, first come, first served. The fabrics used in this mystery quilt will be on display along with the sign up sheet. I have seen the finished quilt and it is absolutely beautiful. Another stunner!

Have a very quilty day!

We are nearly there...

After spending the entire summer cleaning, painting, building, ordering, unpacking, labelling, etc., we are very nearly ready to open our doors!

Our newly designed sign went up over our front door just last week. The quilt on the sign is one I made last year and it is waiting for its turn on the longarm.

We will announce our opening date on FB and the website. The local guilds have received notice, so if you are a guild member, check your newsletter for our advert.

See you soon!
Sew on!

Introducing....

Village Square Quilt Shop! We are busy bees these days, getting this business up and running. We hope to open September 1...and there is much to be done before that date!

Our store will be located inside Village Square in beautiful downtown Burlington, Ontario. Village Square is quickly becoming a destination spot in the middle of a very busy city, right on the shores of Lake Ontario. The square has a quaintness that will remind visitors of days gone by with storefronts constructed to resemble a Victorian village. Flowers have been planted in the window boxes and restaurants and cafes in the square have lovely patios ready for outdoor dining.

We take possession of our space July 1st and our first job will be a fresh paint job to the inside. I've been busy picking colours that will be a beautiful backdrop to all our lovely fabrics and quilts. We will have a dedicated classroom with huge bright windows along one wall - great for seeing the true colours of your fabric. The longarm will live in the office, waiting to quilt up your creations.

We will spend our summer working hard so that when we open in September, we are ready to greet you and tempt you with the latest and greatest in the quilting world. Drop by if you are in the area, and see the progress.

Enjoy these lovely warm summer days,
